SU Holiday ClubsWhat is a holiday club? Typically Holiday Clubs are run from community centres, halls or churches, with the youngsters forming part of a small group (1 leader to 8 youngsters). Holiday Clubs usually follow a particular theme. They can also be used to focus on special aspects, such as HIV and AIDS awareness, sport, other lifeskills, or any other need presenting that is relevant to the community.
Our VisionTo run a programme of Holiday Clubs in all communities in South Africa, each mid-year. We aim to run these clubs in such a way that an increasing number of teenagers and children are led into the Kingdom of God. VenuesWe aim to get the best venues and facilities for the children so that they can be comfortable and are able to have the most wonderful time of their lives. If we don’t get the best, it might mean that they might have to play their games out in the cold or be outside for some part of the club. That might not bring them back the next day. Where no venue is available, you need to use your initiative and arrange for it to be outside if the weather is good. The ideal would be:
