Challenging because our country has become a values vacuum and a t the moment 2 million people are infected with the AIDS virus. Countless numbers are in jail for crime of every description and even more criminals walk free.
Families are largely dysfunctional. Drugs are increasingly freely available. Racism is bubbling under the surface.
It’s into this context that SU continues to bring it message of hope and health for the youth of our nation. We have extensive experience in running dynamic, relevant, Lifeskills courses aimed at interviewing in the relentless spread of AIDS and other social ills.
We reach over 40 000 young people in schools across the country per annum with Lifeskills courses.
SU Lifeskills Education is a strategic project of Scripture Union South Africa, a specialist, interdenominational, Christian youth organisation. SU has 13 regional offices in South Africa, works in over 40 countries in Africa and in more than a 120 worldwide.
At your request, Scripture Union will come to your school to run a course of instruction which will equip learners with relevant lifeskills in crucial areas. Courses are run at local campsites over four days or at schools in thirteen parts. Five separate courses for grades 6-11 are available as well as a recourse book for educators.

HOW MUCH? ACCORDING TO YOUR MEANS
There is no fixed charge to schools for an SU Lifeskills course. Schools will be asked to contribute an amount, agreed on before the commencement of the programme, in accordance with their means, to cover basic SU expenses. For camps, learners must cover the costs of food and accommodation and schools must provide transport to campsites. Limited sponsorship is available where needed.
