Our Objectives

The aims of our program are as follows:

  • To present skill-based programmes to youth between the ages of 10 to 18 in the area of decision-making especially in regard to sexuality

  • To assist youth to clarify values and to choose that set of values which will most likely assist them to avoid HIV infection

  • To assist youth to delay the onset of sexual activity through negotiation and communication skills, through the promotion of abstinence as a realistic and responsible option and a positive choice

  • To assist young people who do not choose abstinence to discover options and refer them to other sources of help

  • To promote compassion and community service in view of the effect of AIDS i.e. motivating young people to check their attitudes and become part of the force that will care for PWAs (People living With AIDS)

  • To equip young people to influence their peers to adopt this behaviour

  • To involve many young adults from the community as facilitators, this in turn will have an influence in the broader community.

Our vision is AIDS prevention by targeting the group which is currently relatively AIDS-free (youth between 10 – 18 years of age) and so ensure as far as possible an AIDS-free generation
